Tribloos 3 – Development Diary 31-05-2017

Gosh, what just happened?

The Tribloos 3 Development Diary

That must have been some time warp or dimensional distortion or something because I’m sure the previous post to this one is dated in January

Well ok yeah, we’ve let the blog slip for a few reasons but the good news is we’ve been developing still. We just got too busy to keep telling everyone about it. That’s a bit rubbish but we’re going to try and get back on track with that starting today.

So I’m going to do a little bit of Tribloos talk today and we’ll get back to talking about Space Farmers 2 in the next week or so.

This week I’m actually working on the Beta release of the game! All the graphics are done and look awesome. I’m gearing up for the steam Beta which should commence in the next couple of days. I just need to remember how to set up depots and repositories and the like…it’s been a couple of years since I last did that!

I’ve got a few more weeks of development ahead of me with the game still. Here are the tasks still required:
1. Music – I have about 5/6 tunes to write still. All the animatic music is finished and about 1/2 of the levels have their themes. I’m still missing credits music and intro music.
2. Trailer – I’ve got a couple of trailers in the works. I do have a long term issue that my desktop machine doesn’t like video editors at the moment but I’ll work around that somehow.
3. Testing and bug fixing and polish – I’ve been doing a lot of polishing recently but there’s still more to do! It’s looking good but a little more is required.

So essentially I’m almost at the final push. I can see the top of the hill and it’s exciting. So here’s a couple of screenshots from the game’s animatics which I’ve not yet shown anywhere before.

Thanks for reading and I’ll catch you next week for a follow up!
